THIS WEEK’S VERSES:

“After living this adventurous mission for three years, I made my way to Jerusalem and spent 15 days with Cephas, whom you know as Peter.” (Galatians 1:18, Voice)

“This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike ‘What’s next, Papa?’”(Romans 8:15, MSG)

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:

1. Every morning, pray for a spirit of adventure. Before you get out of bed, ask God to give you a willingness in your spirit to follow His leading and go where He would call you. It could mean speaking to someone at the grocery store, or calling someone you haven’t talked to in awhile. Pay attention to what pulls you out of your comfort zone.

2. Read the book of Acts and the adventures of Paul and apply it personally. Imagine it were you following along in the mission of Christ, never knowing the blueprint but following as the Spirit leads. Ask the Holy Spirit to fire you up from the inside out and desire to live that kind of adventure.

READY-MADE TWEETS (click to tweet):

Being willing to drop whatever it is you’re holding onto when He says “Follow Me.” That’s adventurous.

It’s the spirit of willingness that’s adventurous – not the adventure itself.

Adventurous is not knowing the outcome, but trusting in the One who’s leading you.

You can’t #BeAdventurous without #BeingStill first, so you know where He’s leading.
