BE IN THE WORD (this week’s verses):

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:4-8, NKJV)

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. (Proverbs 14:30)

We look at the mirror and wish the reflection could be different; God looks at His creation and says that it is good. (Gen 1:31 & Psalm 139:14)

But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7).

Rather it should be of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit is of great value in the eyes of the Lord. (I Peter 3:4)

BE DOERS, NOT JUST HEARERS (practical application):

1. Who are you? Remember, “Your DO is not your WHO” Christine Caine. Take time this week to really list out who you are.

2. What keeps you from feeling beautiful? We have to be able to name and claim the things in our lives that cloud our vision of seeing our own beauty or that hold such power over us that it negates all things good.

3. Meditate on the truth. We must remember that we cannot impart that which we do not possess which means we cannot impart the truth of how beautiful we are in Christ until we embody our own beauty. We need to meditate on God’s truth, His Word, and refine what true beauty really is in… transforming and elevating our thoughts through refreshing truthfulness.

4. Pray. Never quit praying. Ask God to help you see yourself through His eyes…as he sees you. I believe that we would be humbled if we knew how our Creator, Savior, Heavenly Father really sees us.
