EPISODE 123: BE LOVED BY JESUS (The Best of Be)

BE IN THE WORD (this week’s verses):

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. (John 15:13)

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. (1 John 3:16)

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood. (Revelation 1:5)

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. (John 15:1)

BE DOERS, NOT JUST HEARERS (practical application):

1.  Pray every morning this week and ask God to open your eyes to the power and truth of the Love of Christ.

2.  Pray every morning that God would give you a willingness and strength to be inconvenienced. In Mark Batterson’s book, The Circle Maker, he writes of how we often pray for big things and think we want answers to big prayers without having to be inconvenienced.

3.  Study I Corinthians 13 and what love is and isn’t. Visit our resources for a link to an article by Keith Krell, Love Knows No Limits.

4.  Do your own study as to how Jesus’s life was a blue-print for us to use a guide for loving others. Here’s a question you can google: What are examples of Jesus love to the church?

BE EDUCATED (additional resources):
