THANKSDAY #100

ONE. HUN. DRED.

100! I almost didn’t do one this week. I figured two blog posts last week were more than enough for someone who’s slowly getting back on the bloggy horse. And I’m getting ready for Spring Break which means I have four thousand things to do before we go so I can not work while we’re gone.

But then I saw #99 just sitting there…beginning to not be left hanging. And I have a few things I think y’all will lerrrvve. (Oh but p.s., no Thanksday next week.) (Spring Break, you know.)

Lucky for you, this one will be muuuuuuuch shorter than last week. #yourewelcome

Things I’m thankful for this week:

1. RK BY KISS NEVER TOUCH UP GOOD BYE PORES. Ridiculously long name alert. So for the last year I’ve used Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, which is a pore minimizer. It is super lightweight, and makes your skin feel like luxurious satin. The only problem I had with it is it only comes in one color, and in the summer when I’m a little tanner, it ended up looking a bit chalky on my face. Also, it’s pricier (but did last over six months). Well I was in CVS recently, and saw this new brand and new product and decided to give it a try. And y’all, the color and consistency is sooooo much better than Smashbox! It still leaves my face feeling beyond silky, blurs those pesky pores, and now it’s all I use on my face. #foundationfree Best part is that it was only about $5 in the store, so I can use it daily instead of saving it for only mascara-wearing days which is what I did with Smashbox. #whenimfancy Goodbye, Smashbox. Hellooooo Ruby Kisses.

2. EVERYTHING BUT THE BAGEL SEASONING BY TRADER JOE’S. I sprinkle on my eggs, I sprinkle on my toast. I sprinkle on my chicken, it’s the one I love the most the end.

3. BATISTE BRILLIANT BLONDE HINT OF COLOR DRY SHAMPOO. I live and die by dry shampoo because hair washing and blowdrying more than a couple times a week is for the birds. And I am a die-hard Tresemme Volumizing Dry Shampoo girl, so I’m hesitant to spend money on dry shampoo that ends up being worthless. But I decided to finally cave and what on earth was I waiting for! This one is absolutely IDEAL for when you’re in-between salon visits, and gives just an overall boost of halo-effect where you need it. (Also comes in Divine Dark and Beautiful Brunette.)

4. FELLOWSHIP. I spontaneously met Sara for lunch last week. On Monday I had coffee with Kimberly. Went with Julie to The Grove. Had chips and salsa with Jessica, coffee and Milano’s with Annie. Met Shelli at the soccer field to help her look for a missing item. Guys, my friendship cup overflows. I couldn’t be more thankful to be where I can see and touch and feel my people with my own eyes and hands, and that He’s expanding my tribe. God is so good. (There are so many people I still need to connect with, by the by, and I’m coming for you!)

5. MOVIE PASS. Since I live in the city again and can actually go see movies easily and often, Movie Pass has become a life-giver. I do the month-to-month option so I can cancel at anytime, but I’m not sure I ever want to. I’ve seen four movies this month, and all for the grand total of $9.95! And if a movie stinks (I’m looking at you, Nostalgia), I don’t feel like I wasted money because basically it was free. And I will tell you, sneaking off for an 11 am movie (#thatfreelancelife) is about the most luxuriuos thing I can imagine.

6. UNLIMITED MONTHLY CAR WASH PASSES. I forgot how absolutely insane the pollen is in The Big City, and I have a black car. I also have the car that’s used for lacrosse, beach trips and that all-around taxi’ing life with kids. So you can imagine how every speck of everything is exacerbated with all black interior and exterior. Our local car wash joint (not to be confused with a gin joint) offers an unlimited monthly pass (for the price of two of the washes I normally get), and I finally joined. And to know I can pop in for a wash any and all days of the week is thrilling. To know I can vacuum out that blasted Bermuda grass (the absolute most pathetic excuse for “grass” I’ve ever seen; I forgot how much I loathe it) and those inevitable snack crumbs at will is exhilarating. And to have a plethora of glass cleaner, towels and air fresheners at my disposal makes me clap and shout with joy. #praisehandsemoji

So that’s it. I’m ending at six because I’m the boss and I still have so many projects to finish! And more laundry, pack, get Easter Baskets and clean the before taking off for Spring Break. But first, coffee.

I hope you all enjoy a most glorious Easter weekend, and may the resurrection of Jesus Christ bring you fresh joy this year.
