BE IN THE WORD (this week’s verses):

All of these instructions and details were written for me by the Eternal, who was guiding me. (1 Chron 28:19)

The mind of a man plans his way, but the Lord shows him what to do [directs his steps. (Prov 16:9)

Abram, get up and go! Leave your country. Leave your relatives and your father’s home, and travel to the land I will show you. Don’t worry—I will guide you there. (Gen 12:1-2)

BE DOERS, NOT JUST HEARERS (practical application):]

1. Pray for Vision. Ask God to specifically give you a hope and a vision for where He wants to take you. Pray He will stir your heart to long for more, and a spirit of adventure to be willing to go where He sends you.

2. Revisit Old Altars. Go back to those times God gave you a vision for your life and fulfilled it in the way only He can. Remember His work and His promise. Sometimes remembering God was there before gives us hope to endure until fulfillment of a new vision.

3. Be Open. Has God laid out specifics for the future of where He’s taking you? Or has He simply said “Go to the place I will show you?” Be open to hearing God speak in whichever way He chooses to…not how you expect Him to. If He can make a donkey speak, He can bring a vision to you through any means!

BE EDUCATED (additional resources):

1. You’re Made for a God-Sized Dream by Holley Gerth. We all long to live with more purpose, passion, and joy. Yet in the middle of our hectic lives, the God-sized dreams that have the potential to lead us into all God has planned for us are the ones that tend to get lost. With her intimate, approachable style and constant encouragement, popular blogger and author Holley Gerth invites women to rediscover the big dreams God has given them–and then dare to pursue them.

2. Rhinestone Jesus: Saying Yes to God When Sparkly, Safe Faith is No Longer Enough by Kristen Welch. The story of one woman’s journey from comfortably living a safe, “good-girl” faith that didn’t cost much, to realizing that God was daring her to say yes to a bolder, more authentic, more dangerous way. This story of spiritual adventure throws the doors wide open for any woman who’s ever thought of herself as “just a mom.” Kristen will inspire and empower you to say yes to God right where you are—and stand amazed at how your life will shine.

BE TWEETERS (ready made tweets, just click to tweet):

Sometimes, as we walk out the realities of a God-vision, things change as we go along.

Our vision comes from God, and the vision He gave throughout the Bible led to something big, for His glory.

God’s visions are something of value – value in God’s economy, not just ours.

Following and walking out a God vision brings you into the process of discovering something of hope and value.
